If you ever decided not to take a class on the theories of language acquisition because you thought it would be dry and boring, you missed out.
A very individual thing, but let me explain.
My theory class as part of the TESOL program explained in a historical context how and why ideas developed. As it turns out, reading about how one group of ideas connected to the next eased my mind. Order and progression came from what must've looked like chaos at the time. As a student, I have the benefit of being many years away from it.
What kinds of theories will come next?
There is solace there. Look back and find yours.
This is all I've got for you today. The daily events in our country have changed this life on a deeply personal level—what I think, how I think, and what I intend to do about it.
My piece of sanity for the day? The weather.
Today it rained in Southern California. The wind picked up. The sun came out.
I turned my camera up to the springtime sky to see white jet trails on blue.
